Clairault Estate Chardonnay

Clairault Estate Chardonnay is sourced from Bridgeland Vineyard at Karridale in Margaret River. The winery's southernmost vineyard, it has a cooler climate and longer growing season than the estate's other sites.

The fruit is chilled and whole bunch pressed. Its juice is cold settled and racked, leaving only the lightest grape solids. Fermentation occurs in a mix of new and seasoned French oak barrels.

The wine is sulphured pre-malolactic fermentation in order to preserve the fruit's fresh aromatics and pure acidity. It then matures in barrel over nine months, with lees stirring every two weeks until bottling.

Pale green, Clairault Estate Chardonnay is a fresh, textured wine with structured oak and stone fruit flavours, pristine acidity and a mineral finish. Cellaring potential is 10 years.
